The first session of JEE Main 2021 entrance exam was scheduled to be held in April, while the second session was scheduled for May.

Ending all speculations, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday (July 6) announced that the entrance exams of JEE Main 2021 were earlier canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic will now be held. The Minister announced that the first session of JEE Main 2021 will be held from July 20 to 25 and the second session will be held from July 27 to August 2.

It is to be noted that the first session of JEE Main 2021 entrance exam was scheduled to be held in April, while the second session was scheduled for May. According to the Education Minister, the admit card and result declaration dates of JEE Main 2021 entrance exam will be announced later. 

Shortly after Pokhriyal’s announcement, the National Testing Agency (NTA) reopened the application window for the JEE Main 2021 April/July session at its official websites – nta.ac.in or jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA said that students who are interested in changing their exam centers or those who want to register for JEE Main 2021 entrance exam should log at the official website from July 6 to 8. The NTA announced that the last date to submit the online application fee is July 8. Candidates who are interested in applying for the May/August session of JEE Main 2021 entrance exam can submit application forms between July 9 to 12.

On Tuesday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the postponement of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) May session due to the present situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country. The JEE Main 2021 May session was scheduled to be commenced on May 24, however, the exams have now been put off indefinitely.

JEE Mains April 2021 has already been postponed previously due to the pandemic situation. The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently. the registrations for the may session will also be announced at a later stage, said NTA.
