NEET UG Application Form 2021

NEET UG application form 2021 will be released soon. There may be a slight delay in the application form of NEET-UG 2021. Most likely the registration for NEET-UG 2021 will begin in January. National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET 2021 exam. Candidates have to fill in the correct information and personal details and pay the fee simultaneously for the successful submission of the form. Before filling the NEET 2021 Application Form,

CBSE has decided to reduce the syllabus from Class IX to XII and this could also have an impact on the syllabus of NEET 2021. NEET 2021 will be conducted in pen and paper and the exam pattern is also expected to be the same as of the previous year i.e. a total of 180 questions worth 720 marks.

NEET 2021 syllabus will be comprised of topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of Standard 11 and 12. NEET Biology syllabus will be divided into 2 sections i.e. Botany and Zoology

NEET 2021 Registration Dates

  • The mode of exam, pattern, marking scheme, distribution of marks, duration, etc apparently remains the same.
  • No changes in the eligibility criteria have been announced.
  • NEET is the only qualifying exam to get admission in MMBS, BDS, AIIMS, JIPMER, etc.

NTA NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

NEET 2021 eligibility criteria was defined by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Candidates willing to apply for the examination must read the eligibility criteria of NEET 2021 before filling their applications. The points given below summarise the NTA NEET 2021 eligibility criteria.

  • The applicant must have completed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institute. This will be considered as qualifying examination for ascertaining the eligibility of a candidate.
  • An applicant who belongs to the general category must secure a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent in the qualifying examination.
  • An applicant who belongs to the SC/ST category must secure a minimum aggregate of 40 per cent in the qualifying examination.
  • An applicant who belongs to the PwD category must secure a minimum aggregate of 45 per cent in the qualifying examination.
  • There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for NTA NEET 2021. However, an applicant must have be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2021.
NEET 2021 Reservation

According to government regulations, there needs to be a reservation for candidates who come from socially or economically restricted backgrounds. Although an official notice hasn't been released by the NTA, the reservation criterion is expected to be the same as before.

  • 10% seats for General EWS candidates
  • 15% of seats are reserved for SC candidates
  • 7.5% of seats are reserved for ST candidates.
  • 27% for reserved for OBC candidates.
AIQ and State Quota
  • A merit list will be released by the state based on the candidate's All India Rank for NEET 2021
  • Under the state quota, 85% of the seats are filled through state counselling on the basis of the candidate's domicile and eligibility.
  • The All India Quota will secure a 15% reservation for applicants who will then be featured on the AIQ merit list.

NEET UG Application Fee 2021

In order to complete the application process of NEET, all applicants have to pay the application fee.

  • Applicants can pay the NEET application fee online using a Debit or a Credit card or Net Banking or Paytm/ UPI/ Google Pay
  • Category-wise application fees for NEET is listed in the table given below

NEET UG Registration

  • Candidates first need to register themselves through the direct link mentioned above, in order to acquire the Application Form.
  • To register, candidates will have to fill in credentials asked in the registration form.
  • These credentials include the name of the candidate, parental details, gender, nationality, date of birth, category, disability details (if applicable), valid mobile number, email address, etc.
  • Once the details are filled candidates must cross-check the information and then click on the submit button.
  • It is to know that candidates will also be asked to create a password and verify it once added.
  • A verification process is also to be followed by the candidates in order to verify their email address and mobile number.
  • Once all the important steps have been catered well, candidates will get a provisional application number will be generated which will serve as the Login ID for the candidates.
  • After all the process of registration is done, candidates can log in with the given ID and the generated password, and get the Application Form of NEET UG 2021.

NEET UG Form Filling

  • Applicants will have to go to the home page and log in with the Registered ID and Password.
  • After successful login in, candidates will be able to get the link for the Application Form.
  • Click on the link to open a new page with the Application Form.
  • Candidates must fill in the asked details in steps defined by the exam conducting authority.
  • First, the information regarding the personal details is to be filled. The details that are to be filled in consists of the name of the candidate, gender, father's name, mother's name, category, disability (if applicable), nationality, age, date of birth, health details (if applicable), etc.
  • The second step will be to fill the details related to place of birth, city and state.
  • Choosing the medium to give the examination and selecting the centre for examination is to be done in the next step.
  • Next step in the Application Form will be to fill in the Educational details mainly comprising of the details of Class 10th and 12th, like the name of the school and board of examination, passing year, place of the institution last attended, etc.
  • To fill the residential details including the permanent address and present address is the next step.
  • After inscribing of the asked details, candidates must click on the submit button. Remember to check the details before clicking on the submit button as changes in only a few categories will be allowed during the form correction period.
  • These sections include nationality of the candidate, category, gender, language of answering the paper, the centre of examination and state of eligibility.
Uploading Photograph and Signature in NEET UG Application Form

Applicants must upload the recently scanned image of the:

  • Photograph (against a light background)
  • Signature (on a plain white sheet)

Candidates must submit the scanned copy of their photograph and signature. It is important for candidates to follow the size and format of the scanned copies as prescribed by the exam conducting authorities. The details of the size and format are given below in the form of a table.

NEET UG Application Fee Payment
  • Applicants can choose to make payment for NEET application fee either in online or offline mode.
  • If an applicant chooses to pay the fee online, then he/she must pay via Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking/ Paytm/ UPI/ Google Pay.
NEET UG Application Confirmation Page Print
  • After filling all the details in the NEET application form, a confirmation page will be displayed on your screen.
  • The same will be sent to the registered email address and mobile number of the candidates.
  • Candidates must take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future use and reference.
